The year was Halloween 2009. My friend was wiring LED's into robot costumes. I was pacing around. The piece of cardboard that would become this mask and make this afternoon costume happen was sitting on the ground as is, minus the string. My bored brain, an inside out vampire cape, some cheap welding gloves, and a random piece of cardboard later I had created an afternoon of fun and memories.
